Would anyone be interested in starting a Neighborhood Association for the Fulton Hill Area?

I would like to get some feedback on starting a Neighborhood Association for Fulton Hill. Now I know what comes to mind when you think of a Neighborhood Association - You can only paint your house a certain color, you have to have your trashcans hidden by a wooden structure or you can’t put lawn ornaments in your yard. Yes, those are rules but rules people in other Neighborhood Associations have put into place. With a Neighborhood Association you as residents are the ones that create the rules and guidelines but they are much more then that.

Prepare to dig much deeper in those pockets…

Natural Gas is going up in the City of Richmond again!

“Rising energy costs soon will hit natural-gas bills from the city of Richmond.

A typical customer can expect to pay about $19 more per month — from $114 to $133 — under the first of what could be two rate increases planned through the end of next winter, Christopher L. Beschler, Richmond’s director of public utilities, told the City Council last night.” - RTD

Wonderful changes for East Richmonders

Last night I was driving down Laburnum Ave and noticed that now there is a Best Buy going up beside the Ukrops! I am excited about all of the new stores being built that will soon make a trip to the West End a thing of the past. Here is the website to the Shops at White Oak Villages. We will be getting great stores such as Target, Petsmart, Sam’s Club and even a Red Lobster (which apparently was the number 1 most requested restaurant when they built Short Pump, and we are getting it!) It is nice to see all the growth in our area. Article in RTD
